A Skin Primer keeps makeup fixed in place all day. It also smooth’s out fine lines and wrinkles creating the perfect base for makeup application. It is best applied after moisturiser has soaked in.
Primers can have added ingredients such as Vitamins A & Vitamin E, which will have extra benefits for the skin. Usually primers are suitable for all skin types but people with sensitive skin should always patch test before buying.
Best applied using a flat eye shadow brush. Primers packaged in airless pumps are great for dispensing the correct amount. Usually about a pea size is sufficient. Clear is preferable to coloured, using a separate colour corrector for particular area that requires correction. Sometimes the red cheeks for example might need a green colour corrector applied before foundation. Areas such as around the eyes or mouth may require primer but not colour corrector.
Anneco’s Perfect Canvas Primer is enriched with Vitamin A (Retinol) & Vitamin E.
Vitamin A is an extremely powerful ingredient that can connect to any skin cell and tell it to behave like a healthy younger cell. It can interrupt free-radical damage process that causes skin to look and act older. This action helps prevent wrinkling and increases collagen production. Retinol is known to improve discoloration of the skin and s effective at managing acne and eczema. Vitamin E is another powerful antioxidant that protects and repairs the skin. That is they are agents that neutralize the oxidant effect of free radicals, which are molecules that damage collagen and cause skin dryness, fine lines and wrinkles.
